Job Summary
Operate packaging lines, manage inventory, and perform general housekeeping duties including sweeping, vacuuming, and lubrication. Execute motorized forklift operations, lift up to 50 pounds, and climb stairs while maintaining acceptable attendance. Troubleshoot and repair equipment, report quality issues, and communicate with supervisors regarding line stops or maintenance needs. Follow safety procedures, participate in efficiency teams, and fill in for temporary vacancies as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work any shift, overtime, and weekends
- Must be willing and able to learn various positions
- Must fill in when needed in temporary/permanent vacancies
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to bend
- Ability to kneel
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to work at heights
- Must be able to operate a motorized fork lift
- Basic computer knowledge - data entry
- Ability to produce accurate documentation
- Must maintain acceptable attendance
- Must be able to perform a variety of jobs, tasks, or duties as required
Desired Qualifications
- Previous relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of basic operation of equipment on the line
- Knowledge of process flow and ability to trace flow from source tank to filling process
- Basic understanding of pumps, valves, filters, and heat exchangers
- Basic Ammonia Operation
- Basic troubleshooting and repair of packaging equipment
- Fill out appropriate paper related to the lines CCP's, production, packaging materials
- Keep lines stocked with packaging materials
- Report/resolve any observed quality issues while operating line
- Proper start up, running and shut down of line
- Basic Votator/Perfector operation
- Be active and participate in efficiency and safety improvement teams
- Learn and follow written rules and procedures
