Job Summary
Fill appropriate packaging with pre-blended chemicals, correctly label material, and load finished goods onto outbound trucks. Wear mandatory PPE at all times, use forklifts or pallet jacks to retrieve items, and measure or weigh chemicals into designated containers. Label and scan packaging items in compliance with company, DOT, and OSHA requirements, then complete batch tickets and manufacturing logs. Maintain a safe, clean, and dry work area while handling changing priorities in a stressful environment. Work Monday through Friday from 7AM to 3:30PM in Chattanooga, TN.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate's degree in chemistry or related field
- 1 year experience in an industrial environment
- 2+ years in a chemical production environment
- Unrestricted employment authorization to work in the US
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
- Ability to organize and maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Ability to wear mandatory PPE at all times
- Ability to use forklift or pallet jack
- Ability to label packaging items in compliance with company and DOT requirements
- Ability to fill and seal packaging items in compliance with company, DOT and OSHA requirements
- Ability to follow standard instructions to measure or weigh chemicals into designated containers
- Ability to scan packaging items into designated areas and load trucks as necessary
- Ability to complete batch ticket and manufacturing log documentation in compliance with company requirements, policies, and procedures
- Ability to maintain a safe, clean and dry work area at all times
