Production Line Attendant Full Time or Part Time - 4th Shift - Sartori Whey

Job Summary
Operate processing lines for Grated, Shred, Deli, Wedge, Wax, and Box products by removing raw materials, feeding them according to formulas, and performing equipment changeovers. Conduct in-process quality checks, inspect cheese for defects, and sanitize machinery using approved chemicals. Load finished goods into boxes, palletize products, and track material movement via data collection devices. Maintain 5S standards and support team training while adhering to HACCP and GMP safety policies. Full-time positions work Friday through Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM; part-time roles cover Saturday and Sunday during the same hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency (GED)
- Internally trained and certified to operate manual and powered pallet jacks
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move blocks or wheels of cheese weighing 20 to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stack pallets weighing up to 60 pounds up to 5 feet high
- Must be able to frequently place/carry bags of cheese weighing 5 to 25 pounds
- Close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to work in refrigerated conditions with temperatures ranging from 35-50 degrees
- Ability to work around safeguarded machinery with rotating, mechanical parts and conveyor belts
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs
- Ability to work with motorized pallet truck, hand dolly, stretch wrap machine, hand knives, hand tools, calculator, box tape machine, and Case Printer
- Ability to work with robotic palletizer and metal detector
- Ability to wear safety goggles, rubber or latex gloves, lab coat, and hearing protection
- Ability to wear face shield, chemical resistant apron, and steel toe shoes
- Ability to handle caustic and/or toxic chemicals used for sanitation and cleaning
- Ability to wear ear protection due to loud noise levels
- Ability to work in extreme, non-weather related cold as well as wet and/or humid conditions
- Ability to perform production change-overs, cleaning, and/or assembly of equipment as required
- Ability to perform in process quality checks on production line
- Ability to fill and complete quality documentation associated with essential job functions
- Ability to set up, maintain, clean / sanitize equipment using cleaning/sanitizing chemicals
- Ability to operate packaging, processing, manual/powered pallet jacks, and lot dating equipment on converting lines
- Ability to track material movement using touch panel screen to collect data, control product flow through the process and correct process issues
- Ability to use a data collection device to scan finished goods and raw materials
- Ability to place finished packages into correct box
- Ability to inspect packaging for any defects
- Ability to comply with company Safety, HACCP and GMP policies
- Ability to report any food safety or quality issues to management or other individual authorized to initiate action
- Ability to support training of other Team Members
- Ability to demonstrate safe working habits
- Ability to remove raw materials from pallets, bags, boxes or totes
- Ability to feed raw materials in correct quantities, based on formulas and product specifications
- Ability to perform general housekeeping for the Converting department including sweeping, removing cardboard, garbage bags, and pallets from staging or process area(s)
- Ability to inspect cheese and materials for mold, dirt or foreign substance
- Ability to clean cheese with a knife or segregate cheese on a pallet for inspection and cleaning as needed
- Ability to fill cellulose, salt, and/or ingredient dispenser(s) to maintain supply for production
- Ability to remove finished pallets from packaging area
- Ability to maintain and sustain 5S standards on production lines
- Ability to read and comprehend work related documents to carry out work instructions
- Ability to communicate information and ideas effectively in a way that other Team Members will understand
- Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions or apply general rules to specific problems

Desired Qualifications
- Food manufacturing experience
- Experience working in a converting facility
