Job Summary
Operate forklift to supply raw materials to the production line, wrap and stage finished products for shipment, and ensure quality standards are met. Maintain inventory by weighing scrap and returning unused materials, cross-train in shipping, perform basic housekeeping, and fill in as Line Operator as needed. Demonstrate proficiency with machinery, data entry, scanning, labeling, and packaging while adhering to safety and procedural guidelines. Requires 12-hour shifts on a 8am-8pm rotating schedule and overtime as needed in a plastics manufacturing environment, with PPE usage and attention to detail to support timely production and shipping.
Required Qualifications
- One and a half years relevant forklift experience with demonstrated proficiency and safety and passing Paragon Films internal certification process.
- Thoroughly trained and demonstrated proficiency at performing Line Operator duties within Paragon Films.
- Technical aptitude to understand machinery and systems within a production environment.
- Demonstrated ability to gain an understanding of software, scanning functions, data entry, and other basic computer tasks.
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment while adapting to a fast-paced environment and rapid changes.
- Strong organizational skills combined with good problem-solving skills.
- Practice and promote teamwork within our organization.
- Internal customer service skills.
- High level of dependability regarding attendance and punctuality with the ability to be on call as needed for maintenance issues.
- Understanding and ability to communicate using the English language in both written and spoken form.
- Basic mathematic skills.
- High School Diploma/GED.
