Job Summary
Leadperson responsible for assisting supervisors in shift production at Flowers Foods. Responsibilities include training production employees in safe operation and care of equipment, reviewing records to ensure efficient use of time and materials, conducting continuous inspections to meet quality standards, ensuring equipment is in good operating condition, promoting interdepartmental cooperation, potentially operating facility metal detectors (must be fully trained and certified), enforcing safety policies through regular inspections and safety meetings, stepping in for staff during absences, planning and adjusting work assignments, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and two or more years in plant production; preferred readiness to complete related training (including AIB Master Baker Correspondence Course).
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) or more years experience in all areas of plant production work
- Demonstrated ability to instruct and train production employees on equipment and safe operations
- Ability to review records and procedures for efficient use of time and materials
- Ability to ensure equipment is in good operating condition
- Ability to promote positive interdepartmental relations and communication
- Certification/training for operating metal detectors (fully trained and certified)
- Ability to maintain a safe working environment and enforce safety policies
- Willingness to perform other duties as directed by supervision
- Completion of AIB Master Baker Correspondence Course
