Job Summary
Production Leader for a 12-hour night shift at Mars Wrigley in Gainesville, GA, leading a front-line operations team of about 15 direct reports. Accountable for safety, quality, continuous improvement, performance management, associate development, team engagement and achieving operating results. Responsible for building an effective team and managing training and organizational strategies. Key responsibilities include managing and leading the team while following production, quality, and safety standards, implementing continuous improvement changes, leading or participating in Mars Supply Excellence pillars (autonomous maintenance, autonomous work teams, preventive maintenance), repairing and troubleshooting process/packaging equipment, coordinating materials and resources to support line operation and changeovers, and managing associate relations related to hiring, training, coaching, engaging, retaining, developing and performance of direct reports. Additional emphasis on identifying risks and opportunities, contributing to improvement strategies to enhance line/area performance, and compliance with HACCP and other manufacturing practices.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet time in role (12+ months)
- Must have approval from line manager to apply
- Must currently be in good standing
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years in a supervisory or people leadership role within manufacturing
- 3-5 years of overall manufacturing experience
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across functions
- Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and continuous improvement principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and sometimes ambiguous environment
