Production Lead Operator

Job Summary
Lead daily production activities by assigning tasks, operating equipment, and completing pre-operational checks and safety inspections. Act as the primary communication link between the team, supervisors, and leadership while verifying raw materials against SAP data and ensuring finished products meet quality specifications. Oversee packaging operations, record material consumption, and prepare shift reports detailing KPIs and incidents. Participate in plant start-ups, line changes, and continuous improvement initiatives like Kaizen and SMED. Support new employee onboarding through the Buddy Program and lead or join root cause analysis efforts using tools such as Ishikawa and 5 Whys. Maintain strict adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards while minimizing waste and rework.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or technical degree
- Minimum 2 years in production operations or similar roles
- Basic computer skills (Office)
- Knowledge of SAP or similar systems
- Experience leading teams or coordinating production lines
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and environmental standards
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Adhesives, chemical, paint, ceramic, or foundry industries
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and process improvement methodologies
- Ability to support root cause analysis using tools like Ishikawa, 5 Whys, and AMFE
- Strong communication and leadership skills
