Job Summary
Lead Material Handler overseeing a small team to orchestrate the precise blending and mixing of raw materials for extrusion; act as liaison to management and other support groups; monitor mass balance to align input with finished product output; participate in training and development; provide leadership in SAP and Microsoft Word/Outlook; initiate work orders to maintain production lines; ensure housekeeping and environmental compliance; inspect and report equipment and material issues, assist in maintaining departmental records; perform safe work practices and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Forklift Experience
- Inventory management experience
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels and types of internal and external individuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, BOM’s, other shipping documents and procedure manuals
