Job Summary
Production Lead oversees a team of technicians and assemblers on the Z1 build line during a single 8-hour shift, driving toward a production rate of 20 units per month. Responsibilities include leading a production team, managing travelers, kitting releases, and work orders; supervising composite fabrication processes (layup, vacuum bagging, cure cycles, trimming, bonding, vinyl application); conducting first-article and in-process quality inspections; enforcing material handling, traceability, and safety protocols; collaborating with planning, materials, engineering, and quality teams; contributing to SOP development and continuous improvement; participating in hiring and onboarding; and maintaining production documentation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years in production/manufacturing
- at least 2 years in lead or supervisory capacity
- ability to read engineering drawings, BOMs, assembly travelers, and work instructions
- experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Aligni or equivalent)
- strong communication and documentation skills
