Job Summary
Coordinate daily production, material flow, and workflow to meet schedule, quality, and delivery requirements while providing day-to-day direction and coaching to production associates and material handlers. Adjust work plans in response to changing priorities, staffing levels, or production issues, and make operational decisions regarding work assignments, staffing allocation, and material flow within established guidelines. Prepare and maintain accurate production documentation, communicate department priorities and performance expectations to team members, and maintain a safe, clean work environment. Support onboarding and training of new employees, reinforce standard work practices, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with senior leadership to align team goals with organizational objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years in manufacturing or other fast-paced operational environment with increasing responsibilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated track record of fostering a positive work environment and driving employee growth
- Ability to think strategically and act proactively to address team and department needs and challenges
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Intermediate computer and technology skills
- Able to move 30+ pounds frequently
- Visual acuity - able to fully view close and distant objects
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day
- Able to look down for extended periods of time
- Able to frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and turn
- Able to safely operate motorized and manual material handling equipment
