Job Summary
Ensure equipment is properly set up and all make-ready functions are completed before production starts. Oversee production team members to meet quality, sanitation, safety, and scheduling requirements while enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices. Assign work, monitor progress, and make task-related decisions to maintain daily production schedules. Prepare daily activity reports and communicate continuously with processors regarding raw material blends and batch consistency. Monitor production records, inventory levels three days in advance, and manage rework scrap storage. Train employees, evaluate performance, and ensure all safety procedures are followed. Make suggestions for production method improvements and perform necessary production tasks as required. Maintain communication with the Production Supervisor regarding operational deviations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ year machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment
- 6+ months leadership experience
- Basic knowledge of basic math skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Ability to effectively train, assign and monitor
Desired Qualifications
- Basic understanding of HACCP and food safety concepts
