Job Summary
Lead the 2nd shift in Nucor Rebar Fabrication Southwest: oversee daily allocation of work, safety, and housekeeping; supervise department teammates and coordinate with shop Leads and Supervisors to meet production quality and quantity standards; mentor and train teammates in safe operation of equipment (shearing, bending, forklift, overhead crane, grit blaster, powder coating, epoxy touch up paint); ensure compliance with safety policies, troubleshoot production issues, manage inventory and data reporting for production metrics; maintain a clean, safe department and support overtime/shift flexibility as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or local/state equivalent
- Minimum 5 years in production environment or related experience
- Minimum 3 years in supervisory role
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
