Job Summary
Lead production processes on 1st shift, supervising and instructing subordinate production staff under guidance of the Production Supervisor. Assist in equipment testing and setup to ensure proper production flow, monitor processes to meet product quality and specifications, and report inconsistencies. Fill in for subordinates when needed and provide backup for the Production Supervisor. Assist in training and development of employees, collaborate with other department leads to meet production goals, troubleshoot mechanical issues on the line, and assist in collecting and processing production data. Must have knowledge of production equipment, SOPs, quality specs, USDA/OSHA/HAACP guidelines, and strong communication in English and Spanish.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of production equipment and operational processes
- Understanding of standard operating procedures and quality specifications
- Familiarity with USDA guidelines, OSHA requirements, and HAACP guidelines
- Ability to communicate in English and Spanish
- Ability to lead and instruct staff
- Ability to read and understand production reports
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems on the production line
- Willingness to train and develop employees
- Ability to collect and process production data
