Job Summary
Operate basic hand and powered tools, assist machine operators and welders, and handle materials within the shop and outdoors using overhead hoists. Stack and unstack pipe adhering to strict procedures while performing general shop cleaning and housekeeping. Move materials in and out of the shop using conveyance systems and follow established work procedures for safe execution. This role requires lifting to 45lbs without assistance and active participation in the company HSE program. Schedule is dayshift but may involve various shifts and overtime depending on scope.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 or GED
- Able to meet deadlines while working in a safe manner
- Mechanically inclined, ability to use small hand tools and/or power tools
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently, to complete tasks
- Strong aptitude to understand drawings
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Able to follow and understand both oral and written instructions in English
- Grade 12 basic math skills
- Must be able to lift 45lbs without assistance
- Active participation in the company HSE program
- Adherence to all company policies and procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Additional education past high school
- Overhead Crane experience
- Overhead Crane certification
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or similar environment
