Job Summary
Provide optimum animal welfare for birds at an intermediate level, including cleaning barns and equipment, pest management, maintenance, and running feed and water lines, as well as collection and processing of manure. Proficiently identify issues affecting bird health (nutrition, illness) and respond appropriately; monitor welfare factors such as lighting, airflow, and temperature; maintain and repair equipment; monitor pest-management devices; perform daily/weekly activities at an intermediate pace; and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to include weekends and holidays
- Intermediate level of understanding of animal welfare and to report incidents to leadership
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
