Production & Inventory Control Manager

Job Summary
Develop and execute production plans that optimize capacity utilization while meeting customer delivery commitments. Manage direct material planning and purchasing to ensure material availability without creating excess inventory. Establish inventory strategies that improve inventory turns while maintaining high service levels. Monitor and drive key supply chain KPIs including On-Time to Promise, Days on hand, and Excess & Obsolete Inventory. Collaborate with MPS to align production priorities and capacity, and partner with Global Sourcing to resolve supply constraints and long lead-time risks. Work closely with Business Unit Leaders and Project Managers to prioritize customer orders and manage project execution. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in planning processes, inventory management, and ERP utilization. Ensure compliance with company policies, inventory controls, and purchasing procedures. Report to Plant Manager in a high-mix, low-volume industrial control panel environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Production Planning, Supply Chain, Materials Management, or Operations
- 3 years of leadership experience managing planning and inventory control teams
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment (Engineer-to-Order, Configure-to-Order, or Make-to-Order manufacturing)
- Strong SAP planning experience
- APICS CPIM
- APICS CSCP
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
