Job Summary
Adhere to Terex safety policies and procedures; read and interpret blueprints; capable of working from drawings, sketches, templates, and patterns; set up jigs and fixtures; operate welding machines (short arc, stick, FCAW on X1050, T-1) on various materials; use grinders and pneumatic chipping hammers to remove excess metal and oxidation; follow Terex quality standards with emphasis on zero defects; function as a team member contributing to group goals; stand on concrete for 8+ hours, climb ladders, and work around vehicles; able to lift 40 lbs and 40-100 lbs with assistance or lifting equipment; on-site role in Birmingham, AL; salary range $22-$24 hourly (annualized); Terex is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from all qualified individuals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 0-2 years of manufacturing experience
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and 40-100 lbs. with assistance
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Capable of using most hand tools
- Possess good mechanical aptitude
- Operate welding equipment and overhead cranes
- Atmospheric exposure to dust and vapors
- Certain personal protective equipment is required
