Job Summary
Operates forklift to supply raw materials to the production line, wraps and stages finished products for shipment, weighs and completes scrap reports, and handles packaging and labeling. Cross-trains in shipping, learns basic unloading tasks, performs housekeeping, and may fill in as Line Operator when needed. Works on 12-hour night shifts (8pm-8am) on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule at Paragon Films in Broken Arrow, OK. Requires forklift proficiency, ability to read labels, basic data entry, and strong teamwork and reliability.
Required Qualifications
- One and a half years relevant forklift experience with demonstrated proficiency and safety and passing Paragon Films internal certification process
- Thoroughly trained and demonstrated proficiency at performing Line Operator duties within Paragon Films
- Technical aptitude to understand machinery and systems within a production environment
- Demonstrated ability to gain an understanding of software, scanning functions, data entry, and other basic computer tasks
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment while adapting to a fast-paced environment and rapid changes
- Able to juggle multiple tasks and handle unexpected delays or events while maintaining constant attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills combined with good problem-solving skills
- Practice and promote teamwork within our organization
- Internal customer service skills
- High level of dependability regarding attendance and punctuality with the ability to be on call as needed for maintenance issues
- Understanding and ability to communicate using the English language in both written and spoken form
- Basic mathematic skills
- High School Diploma/GED
- Previous experience in a plastics manufacturing environment
- Ability to read blueprints
