Job Summary
Oversee daily plant operations in the protective packaging division, assigning workloads, ensuring quality, and advocating for employee safety and health. Develop and prioritize manufacturing plans to achieve productivity goals while implementing performance metrics and driving continuous improvement projects. Manage labor and capital resources to optimize systems, balance budgets, and schedule resources for efficient operation and equipment maintenance. Lead cross-departmental collaboration to execute annual performance plans and support certification objectives. Requires a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, five years in a maintenance supervisor or manager role, and proficiency in lean six sigma.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in a maintenance supervisor or manager role
- Demonstrated manufacturing based project management and continuous improvement skills
- fundamental understanding of lean six sigma
- fundamental understanding of IPS
- Ability to manage heavy workload within busy manufacturing environment
- successfully complete projects within assigned deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or other (applicable) technical discipline
