Job Summary
Perform all line assembly operations to mass-produce products, including assembling and labeling items, steel cutting with band saws, composite layup, and fabric cutting for ballistic production. Assist Quality Control, verify sales orders against parts, and adhere to safety regulations while maintaining KPI targets for yield and inventory. Work at various stations as production needs require, participate in kaizen activities, and train associates. Support operations such as crane and forklift operation, inventory management, and receiving. Notify supervisors of non-conforming products or unsafe equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Two to 3 years related experience and or training
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
- General knowledge in the use of hand tools and shop operations
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Must work well with others and be a team member
