Job Summary
Coordinate the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedule. Plan, schedule, and monitor material movement in the production cycle to ensure continuous operations. Examine documents, materials, or products to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards. Verify and maintain documentation such as job shortages, planned receipts, and logs. Confers with internal customers to coordinate production or shipping activities and resolve complaints or eliminate delays. Keep records of items shipped, received, or transferred to another location. Perform a wide variety of expediting tasks to ensure timely flow of production and assembly activities. Work overtime as requested and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years experience in a high-volume shipping role, processing a comprehensive variety of shipments
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High degree of organization, accuracy, and dependability
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- To work overtime as requested
