Job Summary
Analyse production costs, create accurate project estimates, and review process efficiencies to identify cost savings. Collaborate with stakeholders, clients, and vendors to gather information, monitor project progress, and adjust estimates as needed. Maintain estimating databases, historical costing information, and project costs while ensuring alignment with specifications and compliance requirements. Assist with project handovers to delivery teams and manage enquiries for practical commercial quotes. This client-facing role suits someone with a manufacturing or estimating background who sees quoted work being manufactured on the floor.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing production estimating or related field
- Full work rights in Australia with no restriction on hours
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with pricing or quoting for packaging, digital and 3PL services
- Project Management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear, confident spoken and written English, with the ability to handle client conversations, questions, and follow-ups independently
- Organised, commercially aware and reliable
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and ability to manage multiple jobs at once
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and production software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
