Job Summary
Adhere to Astemo's Safety Policy, enforce safety practices, and report unsafe conditions immediately. Develop, track, and maintain capital and expense budgets while controlling all projects for safety, quality, cost, and delivery. Coordinate departmental associates, lead supervisory responsibilities, and conduct performance appraisals to support business objectives. Maintain continuous improvement themes, manage cross-functional activities, and develop staff for future growth. Track and maintain project records and documentation using Microsoft Office and CAD tools.
Required Qualifications
- Four year engineering degree (mechanical)
- Seven years relevant experience
- Two year engineering degree (mechanical)
- Fifteen years relevant experience
- No engineering degree
- Twenty years relevant experience
- Automotive background
- High volume assembly operations
- Japanese transplants
- Manage individual engineers to meet project deadlines
- Manage multiple projects on a simultaneous basis
- Troubleshooting skills
- Communication skills
- Time management skills
- Interface at multiple levels
- Operate within cross-functional teams
- Maintain project records and documentation
- CAD skills
- AutoCAD
- SolidEdge, SolidWorks or CATIA
