Job Summary
Production Engineer in Midland, Texas, reporting to the Lead Production Engineer, responsible for managing producing assets in the Delaware Basin, including flowback management, design and optimization of artificial lift systems (gas lift, ESP, rod/jet/plunger lift), production surveillance and optimization, and LOE stewardship. Performs coordination with field operations, reservoir, drilling, completions, facilities, geology, land, and regulatory teams; spends time in the field weekly; creates AFE’s and procedures for new drill flowbacks, workovers, recompletions, and well maintenance; leads well reviews; analyzes failures for runtime improvements; monitors LOE and capital spending to ensure budgets; demonstrates Health, Safety & Environmental leadership; participates in ad hoc projects and ensures compliance with budgets and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Petroleum preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in Production Engineering
- Demonstrated experience with horizontal well production in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated work experience in artificial lift, production, workover operations and project economics
- Proficiency with PC based programs, specifically Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Spotfire
- Willing and able to work in-office in Midland, TX
