Production Engineer

Job Summary
Identify opportunities to improve production build efficiency and create, maintain, and develop build processes and procedures. Investigate production yield, scrap, and rework trends while solving problems through root-cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Provide hands-on support to technicians during build, test, and fault-finding activities, and define in-line validation activities for new assemblies. Design jigs and fixtures, source commissioning plans for production FAT equipment, and support NPI from design through volume manufacture. Develop production-ready documentation and contribute to DFA activities.
Required Qualifications

- Experience working in a production environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- A high level of computer literacy
- Strong communication skills
- Strong mathematical skills
- Understanding of different materials and coatings
- Knowledge of assembly methods; fasteners and torquing, adhesives and bonding
- Good understanding of GD&T (Geometry, Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Experience using Autodesk Inventor CAD package
- Experience with problem-solving methodologies such as 5-why, A3 and 8D
