Production Engineer

Job Summary
Ensure production targets for safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost align with plant objectives. Lead daily production activities, manage workforce requirements, and establish annual KPIs while driving corrective actions. Facilitate problem-solving using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Root Cause Analysis to improve efficiency and reduce inventory. Develop and maintain production procedures, coach team members, and ensure compliance with quality management systems and EHS regulations. This role supports Hexcel's manufacturing of advanced lightweight composite materials for the commercial aerospace industry.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related technical field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, production, industrial operations, or a related environment
- Strong knowledge of production management, manufacturing processes, and operational performance improvement
- Proven experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Good understanding of quality management systems and industry standards (ISO, AS9100, customer-specific requirements, etc.)
- Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental (EHS) regulations and best practices within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with production planning, capacity management, workforce planning, and inventory optimization
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and project management skills
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, communication, and team-development capabilities
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to analyze production data and performance indicators
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the country where the position is based
