Job Summary
Production Engineer role responsible for leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality manufacturing and assembly solutions from concept development to production line commissioning and handover. Key focus areas include establishing and maintaining manufacturing baselines, ensuring production readiness, and enabling efficient, repeatable, and high-precision operations. Responsibilities span Producibility Analysis, DFMA-driven assembly line design, tooling and equipment definition, workflow analysis, SAP data management (routings, costing, BOMs), process documentation, training and handover, and coordinating cross-functional efforts to meet product lifecycle requirements with a strong emphasis on LEAN, PFMEA/MSA, APQP, and concurrent engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma in Mechanical, Electronic Engineering or Industrial Engineering; Advanced Diploma preferred
- Strong understanding of LEAN manufacturing principles
- Solid experience in Manufacture & Assembly, applying DFMA tools and principles
- Knowledge of design optimisation, manufacturing technologies, and supplier development
- Experience with high-precision manufactured products and technologies
- Proven experience in production line design, commissioning, and optimisation
- Experience in Producibility Analysis techniques
- Knowledge of APQP and EN9145 principles
- Proficiency in ERP systems
- Strong understanding of product development and concurrent engineering processes
- Skilled in Production Aid Documentation
- Ability to extract and apply Product Life Cycle requirements into DFMA solutions
- Broad knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, and quality control techniques
- Experience in precision assembly, alignment, and testing techniques
