Job Summary
Production Engineer – Die Cast engineering support for assigned manufacturing areas; troubleshoot machine, controls, and quality problems; develop and document setup procedures, PMs, and engineering reports; participate in Kaizen and daily operations reviews; support with new capital projects and equipment capability studies; perform process testing and analysis; coordinate with manufacturing and maintenance to drive downtime reductions and cost improvements; travel to outside vendors as needed; requires BS in Engineering and 5 years of related experience; PLC programming/automation knowledge and proficiency with Auto CAD LT and SolidWorks; capable of performing housekeeping and supporting process development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering required
- Five years of related experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- PLC troubleshooting experience
- Blueprint/technical drawing interpretation
- Experience with NC programs and machine/electrical drawings
- Knowledge of TS 16949 requirements
- 3D Modeling experience (preferred)
- Proficiency in Auto CAD LT and SolidWorks
- Ability to travel (approximately 10-20%)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a team; strong communication skills
- Ability to work overtime/weekends as needed
