Job Summary
Production Engineer needed to support the serial production, assembly, integration, and testing of Archangel Lightworks' TERRA-M Optical Ground Station products and subsystems. Responsibilities include assembling and testing subsystems and supporting system-level integration in Electrical, Mechanical, and Optical domains; manufacturing and assembly of mechanical parts with 3D printing and testing outsourced components; maintaining inventory; championing build quality and documenting processes; refining manufacturing workflows to minimize downtime and maximize output; managing ordering and outsourced components; supporting field deployment and international travel; inspecting incoming parts to meet quality standards; developing and maintaining SOPs and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations; handling Engineering Change Requests/Orders where applicable; and collaborating with engineering teams throughout deployment and lifecycle stages.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of commercial Production/Manufacturing Experience
- Directly relevant experience assembling, integrating and testing systems/subsystems in Mechanical, Electrical or Optical domains
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a hands-on lab environment
- High level of troubleshooting skills
- Willingness to travel abroad
