Production Engineer - 18 months contract

Job Summary
Provide hands-on engineering support to day-to-day manufacturing operations by working directly with technicians to troubleshoot product, process, test, calibration, and equipment-related issues. Investigate manufacturing problems using logical, structured, and evidence-based problem-solving to support root-cause investigations and drive issues through to effective resolution. Identify opportunities to improve quality, yield, efficiency, process stability, and production throughput while participating in daily production meetings to communicate priorities, technical issues, risks, and required actions. Prepare, update, and maintain clear production documentation including Work Instructions, rework instructions, NCRs, ECNs, and production records. This 18-month contract role involves full-time, standard day shift hours with potential to become permanent.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Full Australian work rights
- Strong engineering fundamentals
- Logical and structured problem-solving skills
- Practical and hands-on skills with confidence supporting manufacturing processes, troubleshooting and engineering investigations in a production environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in a cross-functional environment
- Full-time, standard day shift with stable hours
- 18-month contract with potential to become permanent
- No visa sponsorship / relocation will be provided for the role
