Job Summary
Build complex electrical assemblies, including panel layout, cables, and wiring to schematics using manual common tools. Perform system wiring and integration of electrical components, then conduct initial start-ups with voltage checks and I/O outages. Troubleshoot electrical and control system problems involving PLCs, motion control, and I/O subsystems using diagnostic software and measurement tools. Interface with Engineering to resolve issues regarding bills of materials, drawings, and schematics, followed by final qualification testing of subsystems. This six-month temp-to-hire role includes Monday through Friday day shift coverage from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a budgeted payrate of $25.00 to $30.00 per hour depending on experience. May require travel to customer sites for equipment installation or service.
Required Qualifications
- Prototyping experience in a production work environment
- Excellent troubleshooting ability
- Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical CAD drawings
- Ability to learn to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate cross-functionally, and collaboration abilities
- May require travel to customer sites to install new equipment, or service existing installed equipment
Desired Qualifications
- 5 years of experience working as a technician
- AA degree in electronics, industrial, or electrical
- experience writing or debugging PLC ladder logic
- military electrician technical training
