Job Summary
Role: Production Drafter I/Technical Draftsperson (Scenic & Exhibit Fabrication). Transform design concepts into detailed technical drawings and fabrication files for wood and metal construction using Vectorworks 3D. Independently produce precise build drawings, CNC cut files, ground plans, and elevations to support fabrication teams. Collaborate with project managers, department heads, and fabricators to optimize build techniques and shop drawings; troubleshoot design challenges; manage deadlines to ensure projects meet high standards. Strong understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes with hands-on experience in fabrication methods and effective communication to guide fabricators.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3–5 years of professional drafting and fabrication experience
- Advanced proficiency in Vectorworks 2D & 3D
- Hands-on experience with wood and metal fabrication processes
- Ability to develop efficient engineering solutions and detailed drawings independently
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
