Production Director

Job Summary
Production Director oversees technical aspects of worship services, directs audio, lighting, and stage management, leads production staff and volunteers, and ensures high-quality sonic and visual experiences across campus environments. Responsibilities include recruiting and shepherding volunteers, leading service production and livestream audio, managing event production, budgeting for the Production department, staying current with audio/production trends, collaborating with other ministry leaders, and supporting off-site events and gear upgrades. Required skills include live event and church production experience, proficiency with Allen & Heath and MA lighting consoles, ProTools, Q-Sys, and Dante, LED wall rigging familiarity, strong project management, and excellent communication and leadership abilities. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience) is required. The role reports to Worship Arts Director and is based in Lee’s Summit, MO.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in audio, media, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in live event & church production, including audio mixing, service directing, and team leadership
- Proficiency in Allen & Heath audio consoles, MA lighting consoles, ProTools, Q-Sys Control, and Dante network platform
- Familiarity with LED wall rigging, hanging, and electrical system integration is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with church staff, volunteers, and ministry leaders.
