Job Summary
Production Designer reviews and creates 2-D layouts and BOM/routings for fabrication of GEA equipment, enters Bills of Materials in ERP, creates work center routings, stores design packages, and supports shop-floor dimensions and fabrication challenges. Responsibilities include participating in design reviews, verifying dimensions prior to layouts, producing layouts for sheet metal work (plasma cutter and shear), and coordinating with Engineering on print discrepancies; requires strong print reading and math skills, ERP data entry, and collaborative cross-team engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess strong print reading and math skills to create 2-D layouts for sheet metal work involving plasma cutter and shear
- Enter full Bill of Materials in ERP
- Creates work center operational routings and enters into ERP
- Stores all design packages in production control archive
- Supports the shop floor in obtaining dimensions and mitigating fabrication challenges
- Creates Weld Mapping prints upon request
- Maintains share point data entry of fully processed prints
- Communicates directly with Engineering regarding print discrepancies and missing information
