Job Summary
Prepare, process, repack, label, and inspect fresh produce according to customer specifications for schools, restaurants, and healthcare facilities. Break down bulk products from farms and vendors into customer-ready items while maintaining food safety standards, production efficiency, and inventory accuracy. Remove damaged or non-conforming products and follow First-In, First-Out practices to meet production quotas. Maintain a clean, sanitized work area and report equipment or quality concerns to leadership. Work collaboratively with warehouse and operations teams to support efficient order fulfillment in refrigerated and freezer environments.
Required Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 75 pounds with assistance
- Ability to work in refrigerated, cooler, freezer, and warehouse environments
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum one (1) year of production, warehouse, food manufacturing, foodservice, or related experience
- Basic understanding of food safety, sanitation, and safe work practices
- Ability to accurately follow production instructions, product specifications, and packaging requirements
- Basic reading, math, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to learn new production processes and procedures
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum one (1) year of production, warehouse, food manufacturing, foodservice, or related experience preferred
- Experience working with fresh produce or perishable food products preferred
- Previous production, food manufacturing, packaging, or repacking experience preferred
- Knowledge of produce quality standards and spoilage identification preferred
- Experience using production equipment, scales, label printers, or packaging equipment preferred
- Experience using RF scanners or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred
