Production Control Technician

Job Summary
Prepare documentation, maintain production databases, and manage manufacturing order creation. Update Excel files for runtime metrics, KPIs, and fuel bag data while scanning orders and maintaining a photo library of production information. Review shop labor records to confirm clock-in accuracy and generate boat tags, MSOs, COCs, and Berry Amendment documentation. Handle document control processes for internal and external sources and act as backup for the production control team and company switchboard as needed. Support continuous improvement initiatives within production control processes.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 1+ years with various forms of office work and documentation organization
- Proficient with computers and administrative processes with the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Possess strong work ethics; reliable and dependable
- Excellent observation skills with superior attention to detail and a demand for accuracy in a deadline driven environment
- Strong retention skills: ability to recall data and understand what the data represents
- Strong interpersonal and team skills; proven ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Ability to carry out detailed instructions, apply common sense, and deal with issues timely
- Punctual and regular attendance; willingness to work pre-approved OT if needed; schedules off time in advance whenever possible
- Effective and professional relationships with co-workers within immediate work group, outside the immediate department

- Occasionally exposed to fumes and airborne particles. Noise level is moderate
Desired Qualifications
- Previous related experience in Document Control activities in an office/production setting
- Attendance or completion at a technical school, junior college or university
- Verifiable experience in a manufacturing environment
