Job Summary
Production Control Team Member supports efficient flow of materials, parts, and information across the vehicle assembly plant. Responsible for inventory accuracy, line-side replenishment, cycle counting, receiving/shipping operations, and safe operation of powered industrial vehicles to ensure uninterrupted production. Performs milk runs to line-side stations, replenishes kanban bins, monitors consumption, and escalates shortages. Coordinates with kitting/sequencing to ensure correct parts, maintains WMS data, conducts cycle counts, and supports audits. Operates forklifts/PIVs per OSHA standards, conducts pre-shift inspections, and adheres to safety protocols. Supports inbound receiving and outbound shipping, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment
- Current PIV/forklift certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire
- Experience performing cycle counts and using WMS or ERP inventory systems
- Basic computer literacy (data entry, email, WMS terminals)
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, BOMs, bills of lading, and kanban signals
