Job Summary
The Production Control Specialist coordinates schedules, reviews work orders, monitors material availability, and maintains accurate production data to support efficient production operations. Responsibilities include printing/distributing production travelers, aligning finished goods with sales orders, auditing material availability, analyzing variances, generating production reports, and supporting capacity planning and continuous improvement initiatives. Strength in coordinating with production, scheduling, shipping, and purchasing, plus proficiency with MS Excel and ERP systems, are required to ensure on-time production performance and accurate ERP planning data.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or Diploma or Certificate in a technical discipline
- 1 to 2 years of production control or scheduling experience
- Strong MS Excel and reporting skills
- ERP experience (Oracle Netsuite or similar) is an asset
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and scheduling
