Job Summary
Production Control Planner to design, schedule, and monitor material flows and production processes. Responsibilities include planning and scheduling material processes to align with the production schedule, resolving material issues, investigating production problems with root-cause analysis using MRP/Kanban/heijunka, communicating material requirements to meet delivery dates, planning inventory management to avoid shortages, coordinating ECNs, ensuring on-time material arrivals, maintaining production reports, daily coordination with Production staff, and improving MRP accuracy and ordering practices for intercompany materials. Required skills include repeat data-entry with precision, strong written and verbal communication, active listening, interpersonal collaboration across diverse teams, and proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and SolidWorks. Educational background in Mechanical Technician/Technologist, Operations Management, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent) is sought, with Project Management coursework considered an asset. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of Mechanical Technician / Technologist Program or Material / Operations Management or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
- Project Management Courses considered an asset
- Experience in SolidWorks suite of products
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
