Job Summary
Develop and execute production control plans aligned with demand forecasts, master production schedules, and customer requirements. Convert MRP signals into actionable production orders and material requests while actively monitoring supply issues to prevent disruptions. Analyze inventory levels, safety stock, and lead times to optimize stock and minimize excess or shortages. Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and engineering teams to create accurate schedules and mitigate capacity constraints. Monitor key performance metrics, perform data-driven analyses to identify trends, and conduct what-if scenario modeling to assess supply or demand impacts. Identify risks within planning processes, develop contingency plans, and troubleshoot production delays or material shortages.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in production planning, supply chain management, or inventory control in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient with ERP systems
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Solid understanding of MRP
- Solid understanding of demand planning
- Solid understanding of inventory management
- Solid understanding of production scheduling
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Comfortable working across teams and departments
- Accuracy, analytical skills and attention to detail
