Job Summary
Develop and maintain master production schedules based on customer demand, forecasts, and inventory requirements while monitoring changes in product mix to adjust for capacity constraints and material availability. Balance labor, equipment, and material resources to maximize efficiency, collaborate with manufacturing leadership to align plans with plant capacity, and lead weekly production review meetings. Drive system improvements within ERP/MRP platforms, analyze production data to identify improvement opportunities, and supervise production planners and schedulers. Establish departmental objectives, monitor key performance indicators including on-time delivery and inventory turns, and provide coaching and performance evaluations to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing operations, or supply chain management
- 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and production planning methodologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- APICS/ASCM certifications such as CPIM or CSCP
