Production Control Lead

Job Summary
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, monitor progress against baseline plans, and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely execution. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports tracking schedule performance, cost variances, and % completion while validating subcontractor invoicing against progress. Lead DABs and collaborative planning meetings, ensure all works comply with health and safety standards and Mercury's electrical safety permitting requirements, and conduct routine inspections to confirm alignment with agreed scope. Identify workflow bottlenecks and propose corrective actions to optimize delivery efficiency. Assist the Senior Project Manager in managing budgets and resource availability for datacentre projects in Belgium.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or certification in Project Management, Engineering, or related discipline
- 2–3 years' experience in project coordination or production control within construction or engineering environments
- Strong understanding of scheduling collaborative planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Visilean) and reporting techniques
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- An understanding and/or experience of electrical and mechanical systems used in a data centre or similar environment
- Understanding all the associated safety code related requirements relative to providing the service
- Understanding of Health & Safety Risk Assessments, HRAs and Control Measures
- Experience in vendor management, ability to manage and monitor progress to ensure objectives are achieved for outsourced support and projects
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate intelligently and effectively with the client, employees and subcontractors
