Job Summary

Production Control Center Analyst responsible for work execution and monitoring, priority management to minimize project delays, and improving performance. Maintains tracking and scheduling tools to provide transparency and accountability; facilitates daily and weekly facility meetings with management across departments; applies project management methodologies for consistent results; develops, documents, analyzes, and reports key production metrics (throughput, cycle times, TAKT times) to drive insights and inform decisions; produces and maintains reports to support CAMs and Earned Value Management (EVM) standards; collaborates with project and production teams to monitor performance, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements. Works with Project Managers and CAMs to develop baseline ship schedules, identify bottlenecks, conduct space-utilization analyses, and drive Lean initiatives; leverages Lean principles and EVMS for optimization and stakeholder communications; strong collaboration, meeting facilitation, and reporting capabilities; requires US citizenship.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or Project Management
  • 3+ years year’s demonstrated experience in shipyards, ship repair, or USN, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledgeable in ship construction and relationships between trades
  • Proficiency in Adobe Pro, Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Excel)
  • Working familiarity with Primavera (or equivalent scheduling software) – able to navigate, create layouts, filter within and export from a comprehensive IMS
  • Experience in scheduling concepts as it relates to logic, manpower and other resource utilization
  • Working familiarity with MRP Software and other Austal Proprietary Software
  • Proficient in Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and performance measurement techniques
  • Detail oriented and able to resolve most daily issues without specific supervisory direction
  • Ability to organize and chair meetings
  • Ability to present to a formal audience
  • Effective communication skills to facilitate team work with various departments and effect customer satisfaction with internal and external customers
  • Ability to determine schedule drivers
  • Experience with Government contracts a plus
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing a plus
  • US Citizenship required
