Job Summary
Coordinate shift activities for the manufacturing Sanitation area to ensure delivery of key performance metrics in EHS, Quality, Finance, Productivity, and People. Lead the Sanitation Specialist team through triage of sanitation interventions, risk assessments, and contract work verification. Directly supervise personnel, manage budgets for headcount and overtime, and author work orders for maintenance needs. Conduct GMP walk-through audits, drive Root Cause Analysis with cross-functional teams, and approve production resumption after non-routine interventions. Manage compliance standards for FDA, OSHA, and Abbott policies while developing line personnel through training and mentoring. This 12-hour day shift role at Abbott's Casa Grande Nutrition plant supports the production of leading brands like Similac and Ensure.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, science, food technology, engineering
- 2+ years of experience in a regulated industry
- preference being for food, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, cosmetics, etc.
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Previous project management experience
- Verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States
- complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire
- In compliance with federal law
- Continuous standing for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day)
- Continuous walking for prolonged periods (more than 2 hours at a time in an 8 hour day)
- Lift, carry, push or pull weights of more than 20 pounds/9 kilos on a regular/daily basis
- Wear ear plugs
- Work at heights, e.g. ladders, scaffolds, catwalks, etc.
- Work in a clean room environment
- Work in noisy environment
- Work requiring repeated bending, stooping, squatting or kneeling
