Job Summary
Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within departments according to production schedules. Review production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and material priorities, then distribute these schedules to relevant departments. Requisition and maintain inventories of supplies necessary to meet production demands, arranging for delivery and assembly to expedite material flow. Confer with department supervisors, vendors, and customers to assess progress, resolve complaints, and eliminate delays. Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor shortages, or backlogs. Record production data, calculate labor and manufacturing costs, and compile status reports on production rates and progress. Maintain files for maintenance records, bills of lading, and cost reports while utilizing inventory management and ERP software to track operations.
