Job Summary
Set up dies, extrusion machines, and auxiliary equipment while monitoring operation to detect profile defects and readjust settings for heaters, water, vacuum, pressure, screw speed, and cooling systems. Conduct quality checks by measuring product dimensions with precision calipers, move finished profiles to skids for shipment, and transport scrap to recycling. Perform minor machine maintenance including lubrication and cleaning dies, take hourly gauge readings, and document results on run sheets. Fill hoppers, perform Oracle transactions to track inventory, and count production at shift end. Train and mentor stackers, attend plant EHS training, and follow all safety, housekeeping, and quality standards. Work a rotational 4/3/3/4 schedule with day or night shifts, starting at $17/hour plus a night differential.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of OSHA mandated fork truck training
- Ability to regularly lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Ability to push/pull carts without assistance
- Ability to stand on concrete flooring for 12+ hours per day
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb as necessary
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
