Job Summary

Conduct drug formulation tasks including weighing raw materials, mixing sophisticated tanks, and performing distilled water sanitization while maintaining cleanroom standards. Over-pouch and seal bags containing IV therapies and sterile solutions, then inspect components to ensure quality standards are met. Perform scheduled quality checks using gauges and scales, document cleaning activities, and correct packaging issues. Notify the supervisor immediately if safety, quality, or mechanical discrepancies occur. Apply rigorous SOPs and cGMP practices to sustain a safe work area using 6S principles.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess or be able to obtain Inspector Certification
  • Basic English written and oral communication skills adequate to communicate with other team members
  • Ability to understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words and drawings
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics
  • Normal visual acuity and the ability to distinguish color
  • Ability to complete quick and precise repetitive processes using both arms and both hands
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach forward, reach overhead, balance, crouch
  • Ability to handle objects and operate controls using fine/simple/firm grasping and fingering
  • Requires continuous grasping, pushing/pulling up to 12 pounds for up to 25 feet and reaching with hands and arms
  • Lifting on average up to 16 pounds to/from a height of up to 46 inches constantly throughout the shift
  • Carrying on average up to 10 pounds for 5 feet constantly throughout the shift
  • Ability to perform tasks related to drug formulation, weighing raw materials, cleaning, mixing sophisticated tanks and equipment, distilled water sanitization, filter integrity testing, and documentation
  • Ability to inspect, over-pouch, and perform quality checks on filled bags which hold IV therapies, premixed drugs, renal therapies, and other sterile solutions
  • Ability to over-pouch and seal the over-pouch, enclosing a bag containing solutions or premixed drugs, at a rate consistent with production needs
  • Ability to perform scheduled quality checks using an assortment of gauges and a scale
  • Ability to perform and document scheduled cleaning activities
  • Ability to learn, understand, and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
  • Ability to sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles
  • Ability to correct any over-pouch seal or packaging issues previously identified
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Desired Qualifications

  • One year of manufacturing experience
  • CRC (Career Readiness Certification) at the Silver level
