Job Summary
Setup builders for success by operating power saws to slot, cut, and trim wood for pallet creation. Adhere to all safety rules and regulations while communicating effectively with plant management on a regular basis. Lift wooden pallets weighing approximately 50 lbs and work overtime as needed. This role supports 48forty Solutions, the largest pallet management services company in North America, providing end-to-end pallet solutions from supply to retrieval.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to lift wooden pallets which weigh about 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate
- Repetitively lift up to 50-75 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths in time
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, distance vision and color vision
Desired Qualifications
- Previous lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, roofing, experience highly preferred
- Quick hands, attention to detail, commitment to quality
