Production Associate - Paint Prep

Job Summary
Production Associate - Paint Prep duties include inspecting doors, frames, and components for cosmetic defects; sanding and performing cosmetic repairs; hanging doors/frames/components in preparation for priming and painting; mixing paint per shop sheet specifications; examining finished product for conformance to specification; cleaning and maintaining equipment and work area; reading instructions; lifting up to 70 lbs with assistance; and working as part of a team. Requires reading comprehension, ability to follow diagrams, basic hand/power tool operation, tape measure literacy to 1/32", and willingness to train in other departments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, comprehend and carry-out instructions in written, oral, and/or diagram form.
- Lift 70lbs with assistance.
- Complete all work within our safety guidelines.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools.
- Intermediate mechanical comprehension and abilities
- Skills to measure and perform mathematical computations, including fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.
- Ability to read a tape measure down to a 1/32".
- Work and train in other departments as needed.
