Job Summary
Operate hand tools to assemble, lift, pick, and pack windows and doors while maintaining safe work practices and adhering to standardized operations. Monitor inventory levels, manage line flow, and utilize root cause analysis to identify and communicate problems affecting quality and cycle times. Assist with training co-workers, participate in employee engagement activities, and perform cross-training across various plant departments as directed. Maintain accurate record-keeping for scrap and production metrics while standing for 8 to 10 hours using proper posture.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
- Ability to read a tape measure as well as read and interpret fractions and decimals
- Ability to read at least minimum word and number recognition/Visual Cues
- Operate power tools with dexterity, basic operations, and knowing when to change PPE
- Identify hazards while understanding station knowledge of safety hazards/protocols/PPE
- Variations – having knowledge of measurement standards and tolerances
- Follow instruction and Standard Work while frequently referencing Standard work instructions
- Knowledge of product defects specifically to their workstation
- Quality Recognition In station quality requirements/CTQ
- Communicate Effectively by actively Listening, Explain Clearly & Accurately, Ask Questions, Share Important Info
- Time Management and aware of Cycle Times
- Ability to perform math by adding numbers, subtracting, including fractions and decimals
- Interface with a computer system by accessing, navigating, identifying download
- Stand for 8 to 10 hours using good Posture and repetitive motion
- Problem Solving using Root Cause Analysis
- Dependability being on time consistently
- Profile Recognition ability to recognize shapes and compare to sample drawing
- Monitor Inventory by adhering to min-max levels (WIP)Utilization of Scrap
- Record keeping being Accurate, Timely, Legible/Scrap
- Ability to Train Operators
- Ability to oversee multiple workstation
- Ability to interprets and Understand Schedule Adherence
- Manage Line Flow

- Ability to wear required PPE – metatarsal shoes, arm guards, ear protection, and safety glasses
- Dependability/punctuality & Detail Oriented
- Ability to bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach and stand is required
- Ability to consistently lift at least 50 pounds, 8 to 12 hours a day is required
- Ability to work in hot & cold environment is required
- Be able to work extended hours and weekend based on business needs is required
- Willing & able to work various positions in various departments (cross-trained) is required
- Perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and stand for long periods is required
- Able to comply with all company policies and procedures, including all safety regulations is required
- Ability to follow Supervisors instructions/directions as given is required
- Possess the following skills: problem solving, teamwork, communication and initiative
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma is preferred
- Preferred knowledge of WTS Paradigm and various ERP functionalit
